Conditions We Treat

Acne is a common but complex medical condition affecting not only teenagers, but people of all ages. Adult onset acne is becoming more prevalent and requires different treatments than standard teenage acne. We specialize in acne, ranging from mild to severe. Our office carries various medical grade products that we believe are among the best for helping to clear acne. We also perform injections and prescribe a wide range of generic and new branded medications to tailor to the specific patient, including Accutane as a treatment option for those who require it. We know that acne medications can sometimes be expensive and may not be fully covered by insurance. Therefore, we will work with various specialty pharmacies to get the best medications at affordable prices for our patients. We also use lasers and chemical peels to keep the skin clear from blemishes.

Mole Removal

Moles are brown spots that may appear due to genetics or sun damage. Moles can range from benign to pre-cancer to melanoma. Therefore, it is always best to come in for a consultation first to determine the best course of action. Although many moles are cosmetically bothersome and often treated with laser or excision, a medical evaluation of the mole to exclude more serious conditions is recommended. As a full service medical dermatology clinic, we offer full body mole checks. The removal of moles depends on the type and size of the mole.

Loose Saggy Skin

Skin tightening is one of the most popular procedures in the United States. Through the use of various creams and minimally-invasive procedures, we can help induce the body’s own mechanisms to tighten the skin. The methods range from application of antioxidants on the skin to radiofrequency microneedling and lasers, such as fractionated CO2 laser and the Erbium:YAG laser. The effects usually do last a while, but requires maintenance over time as the skin continues to age gradually.

We are a full-service medical dermatology office that offers both medical and cosmetic treatments for rosacea and flushing. Topical gels and cream, as well as oral treatments for rosacea exist. Specific lasers that can also more quickly reduce the redness and flushing on the face.

Broken Blood Vessels

Broken blood vessels and angiomas are common on the skin due to a variety of factors. Once formed, they can grow and expand. Wrinkles and Lines

A prominent sign of aging is developing deep wrinkles or folds on the face. Often, the treatment requires a combination of neuromodulators to prevent those wrinkles from getting deeper. However, dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm can soften them by recreating underlying facial structures. Fractional lasers and chemical peels work on the upper layers of the skin to smooth out texture and eliminate lines. We also have minimal downtime options such as radiofrequency microneedling and Laser Genesis technologies.

Hair Loss

Hair loss is a major medical issue – one that the medical community has been trying to address over the last few decades. We treat many patients with all forms of hair loss and can prescribe topical and oral medications, as well as perform treatments such as intralesional steroid injections, microneedling, and PRP (platelet rich plasma). We have found that these treatments can thicken the hair and slow hair loss significantly.

Excess Body Fat

Body contouring is the new frontier in non-invasive ways to reduce body fat. Instead of surgically removing fat, which can cause lumpiness and requires large amounts of anesthesia, body contouring or sculpting can be achieved without numbing. A few lasers are on the market to address this need, the most popular one being Coolsculpting. Body contouring can be performed on many areas of the body, not just in the abdominal fat and waist line. In fat, popular areas of treatment include back of the arms, thighs, neck fat, and underchin fat.

We are proud to be one of the few clinics in Los Angeles to offer the TruSculptiD, the newest body contouring machine by Cutera, a leader in advanced laser technology. This machine is different in that it performs a treatment on up to six areas within a 15 minute period, which is the fastest of any machine. There is no freezing or cutting, so there is no loss of sensation in treated area or painful post-treatment massage. On average, there is permanent reduction of fat cells by 25% with each treatment. In addition, the radiofrequency technology simultaneously tightens the skin, preventing loose saggy skin once the fat is reduced.

Muscle Sculpting

truSculpt flex is a muscle sculpting device that offers personalized treatments based on patient fitness level, shape, and goals. Only truSculpt flex with Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS) deploys a unique method of electrical muscle stimulation to target specific muscle groups using three treatment mode options, covering the largest treatment area in the body sculpting industry. Unique delivery of direct electrical muscle stimulation to treat specific muscle groups using three treatment mode options.
