How do I book a visit?
Scheduling with us is easy! You can schedule directly through our website by clicking the Book Online button or by texting us at (213)320-6286, and we will respond to your inquiry each business day. We’ll give you all the instructions you’ll need to make your visit as seamless as possible – from how to get here to answering insurance questions. We’re happy to help!
What precautions are you taking to keep your visitors safe against Covid-19?

If you feel ill, or are experiencing symptoms, please postpone your visit or schedule a video visit instead. Be advised, a mask is required to enter the building. We have strict protocols for sanitizing the clinic systematically, and all Metropolis team members wear masks. Temperature checks are performed upon entry to the clinic and visitors with readings higher than CDC guidelines will be asked to reschedule. We ask that patients attend their visit unaccompanied unless they are a minor. Please try to arrive within 5 minutes of your appointment time to avoid crowding in the waiting area.

What are your hours?
Our current Downtown Los Angeles hours are listed here. Our current Brentwood hours are listed here. We plan to offer additional hours as our practice grows to better serve our patients.

We know how hard it is to get to the doctor sometimes, especially during the weekdays, which is why in addition to being open some lunch hours and afterhours during the week, we will also initially be open two Saturday mornings per month, with plans to increase the number of Saturday hours based on need. We hope this adds an extra level of convenience for you.

What are my parking and transportation options?

We recommend walking, rideshare services, or the Metro when visiting Metropolis Dermatology. The traffic situation in downtown can be challenging. However, we have researched this topic for you since we are in LA, and we understand that this is very important!

When you arrive in the building lobby, sign in at the security desk, and the concierge will allow you to take the elevator to the 10th floor (we are suite 1050, the double doors right off the main elevator lobby). The building is highly secured for everyone’s benefit.

Walking: What’s better than being able to walk to your dermatology clinic? For those of you working in DTLA and want to stop by during lunch hour or after work to avoid the traffic, just walk on over. It’s great for the environment and you get good exercise. We are located at the intersection of 9th Street and Figueroa Street in the reddish-brown First Republic Bank building, across from Smart and Final.

Ridesharing (Uber, Lyft, Bird, Lime, Jump): You don’t have to worry about parking, and it’s a cheap way to get around in LA. Our address is: 888 S Figueroa St, Ste 1050, LA, CA 90017

Taking the Metro: We are 2 blocks south of the main Metro hub downtown: 7th Street /Metro Center stop. This is the intersection for the RED, PURPLE, BLUE, and EXPO lines. We are only a 5-7 minute walk from the station in DTLA. This is a good option for those coming from Pasadena, Hollywood, or the Westside.

How much do visits cost?
Visit costs are variable and will depend on the medical complexity, number of issues, and length of visit. The costs and coverage, if you’re insured, is determined by your specific contract with your insurance company. After your copay is collected, the remainder of your services will be billed through your insurance company, and any remaining balance sent to you as a statement. Any visit fee does not include additional procedures done that day. We will be able to provide an estimate maximum costs for procedures done on the day of service. Based on your individual insurance plan, you will be responsible for an amount usually less than the estimate.

For our out-of-pocket or self-pay patients, see below:
Medical Initial Consultation Fee: $175
Medical Follow-up Fee: $150

Cosmetic Initial Consultation Fee: $170
-Fee can be fully credited to certain treatments including Botox, Dysport, and fillers.

We accept cash, all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. FSA and HSA benefits are also welcomed. Unfortunately, we cannot accept regular Care Credit at this time, but we do accept Care Credit credit cards with the VISA logo.

Is there a fee if I don't show up or cancel last minute?

A $50 charge will be assessed for late cancellations, last minute reschedule within 2 business day of the scheduled appointments, and no shows. Credit card on file is required.

Do I need a referral?
In general, the insurance plans we accept do not require referrals. However, student PPO plans often do. If you have insurance through your university, it is best to inquire with student health whether or not a referral is required prior to your visit.
AESTHETICIAN RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
To make sure you get the most from your visit, here are the best practices and notes for booking esthetician services:

Please try to arrive on-time or a few minutes early.

Unlike a regular medical visit, where there is some presumed wait time, the timing for aesthetician services is much more precise. With your schedule in mind, our providers work very hard to begin and end their treatments on time. Once you book a specific service, the start and end times of that service are set.

If you are running late, know that it may cut into your treatment time. We will accommodate you as much as is reasonably possible, but please know you are responsible for the reserved time in full.

Cancellations less than two full business days prior to the appointment (i.e. Monday for a Wednesday appointment) are subject to our standard cancellation fee.

Cancellations made one day ahead will incur a fee of $45. The basic charges for a 30-minute extraction session, or $95, which will automatically be charged to your card on file (required) for same-day cancellations and no shows for all aesthetician services. If you find that you must reschedule, you may request to cancel via our text/email reminder system up to 48 hours in advance or simply call the office.

Here at Metropolis, we will do everything we can to accommodate appointment changes and cancellations as required. While we do have systems in place to send confirmation calls/texts/emails for all appointments, it is still your responsibility to remember your appointment.

We value your time and appreciate you for viewing and supporting our policy, which ultimately preserves the quality service we hope to deliver.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy the services!
