About Our Hair Regrowth Services

Hair loss is a major medical issue – one that the medical community has been trying to address over the last few decades. Metropolis Dermatology treats many patients with all forms of hair loss and can prescribe topical and oral medications, as well as perform treatments such as intralesional steroid injections, microneedling, and PRP (platelet rich plasma). We have found that these treatments can thicken the hair and slow hair loss significantly.

PRP REJUVENATION

Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, is considered a new technique in dermatology to battle the loss of collagen due to aging and UV damage. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and requires a blood draw, which is purified and isolated before being injected into the treatment area. It contains highly activated growth factors from platelets, which plays a key role in blood vessel and wound recovery. When used either alone through direct injection into lines and wrinkles on the face, or combined with other modalities such as microneedling or laser, it can speed healing and improve the appearance of the skin. We perform a variety of treatments with PRP, including for post-laser recovery, melasma, PRP microneedling, and scalp PRP for hair loss.

For hair loss, PRP should be performed in a series one month apart, then maintained every 3-6 months for optimal results.

KERAFACTOR LASER HAIR REGROWTH

The Lutronic ULTRA is the most powerful FDA-cleared Thulium laser. We can create perfectly sized microchannels in the scalp where we can introduce peptides and growth factors with immediate absorption and enhanced effects.

We adjust the setting where the perfect laser depth is achieved throughout the scalp in order to deliver directly KeraFactor, a proprietary biomimetic synthetic version of growth factors and proteins needed for hair growth.

Treatment is performed once every 2 weeks for 6 weeks, then once every 3 months for maintenance. However, individual treatment plans may vary depending on specific needs.
