Alessandra Chen, M.D.
Staff Dermatologist (Saturdays)
Dr. Chen is a University of Southern California-trained dermatologist, who specializes in medical dermatology and is skilled in aesthetic procedures. Born in Folsom, CA, Dr. Chen earned her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Haverford College, PA. She graduated as the top female student of her class, the recipient of the Glasgow-Rubin Award from the American Medical Women’s Association, from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Chen plans to become a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, a dermatologic surgical subspecialty which allows for the removal of all cancerous cells for the highest cure rate while sparing healthy tissue and leaving the smallest possible scar. Dr. Chen has authored over a dozen publications in inflammatory dermatologic conditions and skin cancer.
Outside of clinic, you’ll find Dr. Chen either surfing, rock climbing, or trying all of the local ice cream shops in Los Angeles.
