Kate O’Brien, M.D.
Staff Dermatologist (Saturdays)
Dr. O’Brien was born and raised in Orange County, California. She attended Dartmouth College for her undergraduate education where she studied Art History and Neuroscience. She worked in New York City at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center before earning her Master’s in Physiology and Biophysics and Georgetown University. She then completed her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class with the honors of Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. O’Brien has authored dozens of publications in the fields of Pediatric, Surgical and Medical Dermatology, and has presented her work via poster and oral presentations both nationally and internationally. She is currently finishing her residency in dermatology at the University of Southern California + LA County Hospital’s residency program. She is an expert in treating the full range of dermatologic skin diseases in both pediatric and adult patients, and is also passionate about aesthetic interventions such as neurotoxin (e.g. BOTOX®) and lasers.
Outside of dermatology, Dr. O’Brien enjoys exploring national parks, travel and playing at the beach with her Bernese Mountain Dog.
